Welcome to 2023 and the start of my Real Estate Services REvolution!

Beginning this year I am embarking on a journey to refresh the way I do real estate using my 20+ years in a conventional real estate system as the starting point!

Most people-buyers,sellers and investors of real estate- have only seen the conventional way real estate agents or REALTORS describe their work and charge for their work. And at the same time, most of those people still do not understand the process and aren’t given the options that may be available to them.

Keep in mind, every real estate firm (and their agents) has a set of rules or company policies pertaining to them. They are likely different from the company down the street or across the state. I can only speak to Virginia Law-not North Carolina, New York or California!  My experience comes from over 20 years working for Long and Foster Real Estate, Liz Moore and Associates and RE/MAX Peninsula, and 20+ years of customer service before that!

Real estate law and the Code of Ethics (for REALTORS) are the same for ALL Virginia REALTORS. The Virginia legal code applies to all Virginia licensed real estate agents. The Code of Ethics takes law one step further and has a higher burden of performance most of the time. Only the state can punish a licensee or take a license away for violating state law.  A REALTOR may face punitive action by their local and state association. However, the association has no authority to revoke a real estate license, just the membership to local, state or the National Association of REALTORS. Every real estate firm whether a REALTOR firm or a licensed brokerage may have company policies that limit their available services or fee structure. As my own single member firm, I can do anything within the confines of Virginia agency law and establish a variety of service and pricing options for my clients and still operate well within the Code of Ethics.

When I speak of a REvolution, I am speaking of my efforts to provide you a better and more thorough explanation of MY business and MY way of providing you MY real estate services. I can continue to offer you full service “traditional” real estate services with fees and structure you may be more familiar with if that makes you happy or confident but I will still offer you the choice!

You will not find another real estate agent, company, REALTOR who will offer you the services I am able to provide, and certainly none who will be able to offer them at the prices I am! There are many advertisers using all forms of media. You may or may not be aware the limited-service agent you hired might be a virtual agent working from several states away. If you choose my services, you will get a live breathing full time agent who lives in Williamsburg Virginia! When deciding on buying selling or investing in real estate, you should always speak to 3 or more different companies and agents for perspective and service offerings.
